On this puppy names by breed page we’ve decided to offer name suggestions that we felt would best fit a specific breed of pup. Upon saying this, no doubt you and your dog are scratching your heads wondering if there are names that will better fit a German Shepherd than say a Pug. Well, we think there are.
Let’s face it, there are no two breeds that are as different in size and appearance than the Shepherd and the Pug, nor are there two more different breeds than say the Chihuahua and the Retriever, so why would name ideas be the same, when these breeds aren’t? They wouldn’t be in many cases.We understand too that whether a certain name works better on one breed than the next is subjective, yet we still think that certain names do work better than others on certain dogs based upon that breeds appearance, size, coloration and even temperament.
